1: SKD11 Steel Introduction
SKD11 is a high wear resistance and toughness universal cold work die steel, belonging to high carbon and high chromium alloy tool steel and vacuum degassing refined steel. This type of steel has excellent hardenability and low quenching deformation. After spheroidization annealing and softening treatment, it has good workability. The carbide particles are small and evenly distributed, so there is no need to worry about quenching cracking. The hardness of SKD11 steel is very high, with a hardness greater than 62HRC after quenching. It has high wear resistance to eutectic carbides and maintains good toughness, making it less prone to cracking. In addition, SKD11 steel also has good nitriding treatment performance. Nitriding treatment at 525 ℃ can achieve a certain depth of nitriding layer and surface hardness of the workpiece.
